经冶金部和中国有色金属工业总公司批准,于4月下旬由冶金部情报标准研究总所主持召开了冶金情报工作座谈会。会议传达并贯彻了1984年全国科技情报工作会议精神,讨论了关于开创冶金情报信息工作新局面的建议;制订、修订有关情报工作的办法、规划;奖励1980～1981年优秀情报成果;宣布成立中国金属学会情报学术委员会。
Approved by the Ministry of Metallurgy and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation, the Metallurgical Intelligence Symposium was hosted by the Institute of Intelligence Standards Research of the Ministry of Metallurgy in late April. The conference conveyed and implemented the spirit of the National Conference on Science and Technology Intelligence in 1984, discussed proposals for creating a new situation in the work of metallurgical intelligence information, formulated and revised methods and plans for intelligence work, rewarded outstanding intelligence results from 1980 to 1981, and announced the establishment of China. Metal Society Intelligence Academic Committee.
