李兴中(1890~1962),字时甫,化名李石父,河北宁河(今属天津)人。22岁入保定军校。历任冯玉祥的参谋处长、国民革命军第二集团军政治部部长、十七路军参谋长、三十八军师长、九十六军军长、第四集团军总司令。新中国成立后,任河北省政府委员、省交通厅厅长,河北省政协第一、二届副主席,民革河北省委主任。“国亡灭种,即在目前,精诚团结,奋斗到底”李兴中自幼目睹大沽炮台毁败遗迹,深感国弱必受辱,立志长大了从军习武,为国雪耻。1912年进入保定陆军军官学校。他满怀为国雪耻之志,学习勤奋刻苦,
