From July 28 to July 31, 2013, a seminar on breakthroughs in geological prospecting in Tibet co-sponsored by the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources Exploration and Development of Tibet Autonomous Region and the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences was held in Lhasa Landscape Hotel. The opening ceremony was presided over by the secretary of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, led by Secretary Wang Xiaoli of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, the deputy director of the National People’s Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region, chief engineer of the Ministry of Land and Resources, academician Duo Ji of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yuan Juibin, director of Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources Exploration and Development of Tibet Autonomous Region, About 80 formal representatives and delegates attended the meeting.
