传统认为蛇绿岩套由超基性岩、含枕状构造的基性熔岩和硅质岩组成,是大洋岩石圈的碎片,具有完整的5个或4个层序。但经深入研究后发现,蛇绿岩有不同的类型,可产在不同的构造环境区。从层序、岩性、岩性组合特征来看,拉鸡山存在蛇绿岩套。拉鸡山蛇绿岩套厚度小、层序不全、岩性变化大,不是大洋中脊产物,其岩石学特点与初始洋盆蛇绿岩套相同。拉鸡山蛇绿岩套是中寒武世陆间裂谷拉张到最宽时的小洋盆中形成的,属于陆间裂谷型小洋盆蛇绿岩套。
The ophiolite suite is traditionally thought to be composed of ultrabasic rocks, pillow-shaped basic lavas and cherts, and is a fragment of the oceanic lithosphere with five or four complete sequences. However, after further study, it is found that there are different types of ophiolites that can be produced in different tectonic setting areas. From the characteristics of sequence, lithology and lithology, there exists ophiolite suite in Laji Mountain. The Ragushan ophiolite suite is small in thickness, incomplete in sequence and has large changes in lithology. It is not a mid-ocean ridge product and has the same petrological characteristics as the original oceanic ophiolite suite. The Rugushan ophiolite suite is formed in the small oceanic basins where the Middle Cambrian inter-continental rifts stretch to the widest, and belongs to the continental rift-type small-basin ophiolite suite.
