In order to implement an innovative demonstration program in earthquake-proofing, the Gulf Regional Regional Earthquake Relief Bureau has granted funding to four bays. The recipients include Auckland City Emergency Services Office, Daly City, San Mateo Emergency Services Workspace Office, Santa Cruz County and San Lorenzo Valley Women’s Club. In 1987 they set out plans for self-service shock prevention in adjacent areas, shock protection for commercial and industrial use, and reinforcement of critical facilities and communications systems. The local program encourages funding and allocates these funds to select jurisdictions. The final plan will be finalized and may be transferred to other interested parties throughout the state
