清代费廷珍、胡釴等修撰的《直隶秦州新志》卷之十一下艺文下收录唐代李益的两篇佚文,兹录于下: 敬兄箴 善事兄长,乃谓之弟。胡今之人,惟事之肆;侮老慢上,毫无顾忌?就其所行,称以不悌。彼必自知,其名实厉。名且难当,胡不自励?能敬能爱,斯免物议! 劝学箴 人而不学,何异鹿豕;理义不明,纲常废弛。孔孟六经,为学之始。所言不外,君臣父子,夫妇昆明,五伦之理;推而广之,修齐平治;约而言之,礼义廉耻。曲学之士,稚博青紫;…… 后注,右二箴,旧志载之,今不忍弃,盖亦不惟其人而惟其文也。 后人对这二篇佚文之真伪多存疑虑,或避而不谈,本文不揣浅陋对此试作论述,并兼及李益的文章创作。
