当今舞蹈这门艺术如果想要不断地与时俱进、不断发展的话,那么舞蹈编导就起着推动舞蹈艺术的最主要的作用。舞蹈编导是把他本人的所思与所想通过肢体语言来展现在舞台上的,舞蹈的灵魂是舞蹈编导所赋予给它的。舞蹈编导通过本人自身的生活体验以及自我的艺术灵感用舞蹈的手段来和观众沟通。一个舞蹈,想要给它塑造一个良好的形象,那么舞蹈编导就起着决定性的因素。一个舞蹈作品的好与坏取决于大众对它的评价,而不是少数、极个别的艺术圈领域的人对它的评价。舞蹈还是要让绝大部分的人体能够看懂,能够欣赏得了。舞蹈编导想要得到绝大部分人们对自己作品的认可的话,那么作品就要本着贴近生活的原则来进行创作,艺术本身就是来源于生活。只不过是把生活中的一些人和事情通过艺术的手段将他升华了的舞台效果。
