英语是美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚和新西兰等三亿多人口使用的语言,是世界上使用最广泛的语种。为了促进我国西部地区经济、文化的发展,加快西部大开发的步伐,在现阶段我国的少数民族地区也开设了英语课。对于西藏的学生来说,初中阶段不仅要学习汉语、藏语还要学习英语,所以藏族学生具备一定的学习语言的经历。但由于西藏大部分地区地域封闭,经济与文化都不甚发达,加上受本族语言的影响,教学条件的落后和教学方法的不恰当导致了本地区中学英语教学效果不太理想,并使学生产生了不良的学习习惯和心理特点。我们应该勇于面对和解决在西藏中学英语教学中存在的问题,并找到一条适合藏族学生学习和应用的有效途径,同时要在西藏的中学英语教学当中试着去应用新课程标准,来提高教育水平和质量。

We should bravely face and solve the problems existing in English teaching in Tibetan middle schools and find an effective way for Tibetan students to learn and apply them. At the same time, we should try to apply new curriculum standards in secondary school English teaching in Tibet to improve education Level and quality.
