Classé公司在1980年成立于加拿大法语区的魁北克省蒙特利尔,中文译名“驾势”(“驾势”一词源自粤语,大概意思是威风,猛)。初期是以生产音频放大器为主,设计的目的是将音响重播出来的声音能和现场的距离拉近。当中最多人认识的是一台型号为DR-6的前级放大器,原因是由于它有非常好的唱头放大器,而且价格又不贵,曾经备受国内许多名家的推荐。而Classé所生产的后级部是威猛无比的身躯,充裕的电源供应,使得它拥有强大的驱动力。记得一位资深玩家说过,如果要推动像Apogee这样“大食”的喇叭,最先想到的放大器就是Krell、Mark Levision和Classé。
