崇明,位于上海市区的北部,是中国的第三大岛,也是世界最大的河口沙岛,它形似春蚕,头东尾西,卧伏在长江入海口的金涛碧波之上。岛上空气清新、水土洁净、环境优美、人杰地灵,是长江口的一颗璀璨明珠。崇明县总面积1225平方公里,人口63万。全区下辖13个镇、1个乡、1个市级工业园区。 如何使发展与自然和谐发展,如何以科技促进岛屿生态,本刊记者为此专访崇明县科委主任、科协主席石炳良。回顾2003年工作和业已展开的2004年工作,“跨越式发展”、“科教兴县”、“生态岛”在他的话语中频频闪现。
Chongming, located in the northern part of Shanghai, is the third largest island in China and the largest sand port in the world. It is shaped like a spring silkworm, with its head and tail in the west and lying on top of the Jintao Bibo at the mouth of the Yangtze River.
