每到清明节的第二天,天刚蒙蒙亮,溱潼家家户户的老百姓就出门了,他们去参加“会船”。会船是以撑篙为主,每只船上一个家族几十口人。想象一下,一家人撑着船,神情肃穆,衣着朴素,在溱湖上快速地划着。之后,湖面上的船越来越多,大家越划越快,争抢第一。这几乎像是船的大会,顾名“会船”。会船有点像赛龙舟,但绝对不是那回事。龙舟比赛看谁划得快,会船也是同样。但不同的是,之所以比赛谁划得快,是为了去上坟。张家儿子多,船划得快,就能多上几座坟。这是他们最得意的事了,展示他们家的人丁兴旺。
