1992年9月3日,是我编辑生涯中一个难忘的日子。这一天,钱学森从《人民日报》上看到由潘琦同志主编、我做责任编辑、薄一波同志撰写序言的《邓小平科学技术思想研究》一书出版的消息,便让他的秘书涂元季两次打电话到广西科学技术出版社,转达他的意见:“购买几本《邓小平科学技术思想研究》,学习研究用。”钱老的电话在我社引起强烈的反响,尤其使我深为感动。我仿佛看到钱老拿着我责编的这本书,在认真研究邓小平的科学技术思想。而钱老几十年的科学生涯,他那渊博的科学知识,那坚忍不拔的毅力,那一腔火热的爱国激情,像电影一样,一幕幕地在我眼前闪现……
