Recently, the major project of Tobacco Genome Project implemented by China Tobacco took the lead in realizing the accurate positioning of important disease-resistance genes such as tobacco anti-shank disease, cucumber mosaic virus disease (CMV) and resistance to brown spot disease. This is yet another landmark achievement our country has made in the study of the tobacco genome. Precise positioning of tobacco important trait genes is one of the main tasks of the major project of tobacco genome project in China. After two years of research, the tobacco anti-shank gene (Ph) was locked between two specific molecular markers on linkage group 20
