全国中等城市第六次经济发展研讨会于1993年10月26日至28日在四川省攀枝花市召开。来自全国18个省45个城市的政界要员及其智囊成员出席了会议。中等城市(尤其是我国中西部地区的中等城市)与沿海大城市相比,似乎显得不那么起眼。我们以往的理论研究对此经常容易忽视,在制订政策时也较少考虑其特殊条件和特殊利益。显然,这是一个重大的缺陷。本刊记者在参加研讨会和采访有关领导的过程中深深地感受到,不仅经济理论界,而且政府经济决策部门,确实应该认真地听听来自这些并不起眼地方的声音。其中不乏有许多真知灼见,甚至是警
The 6th National Economic Development Seminar for Medium-sized Cities was held in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province from October 26 to October 28, 1993. Politicians and their think tanks from 45 cities in 18 provinces of China attended the meeting. Mid-sized cities (especially the mid-sized cities in central and western China) do not seem to be as striking as big coastal cities. Our previous theoretical studies are often overlooked in this regard, and our policy formulation takes less consideration of their special conditions and special interests. Obviously, this is a major flaw. In the process of attending seminars and interviewing relevant leaders, our correspondents deeply felt that not only the economic and theoretical circles, but also the government economic decision-making departments should really listen to the voices from these inconspicuous places.
