新疆十三个民族,其中维吾尔、哈萨克、柯尔克孜、马孜别克、塔塔儿、塔吉克、■七个民族,是信仰伊斯兰教的,人口占全省总人口的百分之九十左右。因此泛伊斯兰主义和大土耳其主义分子就大言不惭地割断历史说:新疆土著民族一向是信仰伊斯兰教的。如果不正视着历史的发展,是会被反动分子的歪曲所迷惑的。可是铁的历史事实清楚地告诉我们,新疆民族的信仰伊斯兰教,祗是近一千多年来的事情。维吾尔族的全部信仰伊斯兰教更祗是近几百年的事。
Thirteen ethnic groups in Xinjiang, of which the Uygur, Kazak, Kirgiz, Matibugh, Tatars, and Tajikistan, are seven ethnic groups are Muslims, with a population of about 90% of the province’s total population. As a result, Pan-Islamists and big Turkish-Turkish activists have shamelessly cut off history by saying that indigenous peoples in Xinjiang have always believed in Islam. If we do not face the development of history, we will be fooled by the distortions of the reactionaries. However, the historical facts of iron clearly tell us that the faith of Islam in Xinjiang is only a matter of more than a thousand years. All Uyghur faith in Islam is only more than a few hundred years.
