体育强,国运盛。中国申办2008年奥运会的成功,集中体现了中华民族的整体实力。而作为世界的聚焦点,浦东的体育事业也有了长足发展。今年9月25日,历时五个月,由来自新区各行各业350个代表团、共14977人次参与的浦东新区第二届运动会落下帷幕,这—在浦东533平方公里土地上的体育盛事,充分展示了开发开放以来,浦东人民朝气蓬勃的精神风貌。浦东的体育事业既抓全民健身、竞技比赛,更着眼于长远的发展,因此浦东汇聚了一些由体育名人创办的专长学校,这些学校为浦东体育事业的发展已经和将会起到积极作用。
