On October 28, the Writers’ Association of China, the Institute of Foreign Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and other units met in Beijing to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of the American great writer Mark Twain (1835-1910). The commemorative meeting was chaired by Liu Gengyin, vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
