编纂地方志是为了发挥志书“存史、资治、教化”的作用,志书的质量好,这些作用才能很好发挥。因此,必须全面地增强质量意识,全方位高标准地坚持志书质量。具体要做到八个坚持: (一)要坚持政治标准志书必须有鲜明的政治意识。历代旧志都体现封建地主阶级和资产阶级的意识,编写社会主义的新方志,则必须坚持以马列主义、毛泽东思想为指导,坚持党的四项基本原则,正确地记载和揭示“没有共产党就没有新中国”,“只有社会主义能够救中国”的历史发展的客观规律。
