The factors which influence the ultrasonic flaw detection of the butt weld of the small-diameter pipe are discussed. The calculation inequality is introduced into the selection of the leading edge value of the small-diameter pipe. The discriminant method is used to improve the defect detection ability and analyze the defect property.
