Based on the analysis of the factory status and existing problems in the first phase of the 1700mm hot rolling mill in Benxi Iron and Steel Co., The necessity of reformation was expounded. The contents of the reformation, rolling technology and equipment were introduced. The technological characteristics and automation of reformation were described.
