湖北大峪口工程是世界银行贷款项目,1984年开始前期准备工作,1989年2月经国务院批准,1989年9月正式签订了贷款协议。项目投资10.6亿元,利用世界银行贷款4455万美元(折人民币3.5亿元),是矿肥结合的大型项目,采、选均为150万吨/年,硫酸60万吨,磷酸20万吨,重钙56万吨。项目建成后可使我国磷肥产量提高30％,每年可增产粮食35亿斤以上。
