“九五”期间,湖北省公路建设发展迅速,全省公路路网以较快的速度得到了拓展和密织,公路的发展为湖北经济建设作出了突出贡献。纵向比湖北公路取得了可喜的发展成绩,但横向比,湖北公路的发展水平和步伐与先进省份之间还存在很大的差距与湖北的经济发展需要,与湖北“九省通衢,承东启西”的交通区位优势地位,与人民群众的生产生活要求都不相适应,公路仍然是湖北经济发展的“瓶颈”。 During the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” period, highway construction in Hubei Province has been developing rapidly. The province’s road network has been expanded and densely knit at a relatively high speed. The development of highways has made outstanding contributions to the economic construction of Hubei. Compared with the Hubei Highway, the development has made gratifying achievements in the longitudinal direction.
