在2007年3月份以前,铜锣烧还是个传说中的物件,人们只能在《机器猫》动画片中看到可爱的多啦A梦吃这东西。到2008年8月,不到一年半的时间,全国各地的大中城市都可以买到京都铜锣烧了。卖铜锣烧的生意火爆非常,在中小学校附近的外卖窗口常常出现抢购,店家汗流浃背地制作,产品仍然是供不应求的场面。看到这生意如此之好,就有人会眼红,甚至会为抢占流动出摊的位置而打架,砸烂了小吃车。
