WinBook Computer Corporation is preparing to launch a series of ultra-thin laptops. WinBook is a subsidiary of Micro Electronics. The company expects to release its first ultra-thin notebook in April next year. The aircraft is only 1.65 inches thick and weighs about 5 pounds, and will be equipped with a floppy drive or CD-ROM drive. Japan will provide WinBook laptop OEM products. This ultra-thin laptop supports 200MHz MMXPentium, but also with other processors from Intel, AMD, and other vendors such as Cyrix.
