1994年3月4日,张桂兰这位年逾五旬的农村妇女,说什么也没想到她能当上省人大代表,更想不到还能选到主席团成员中。当她步入西安人民大厦,坐在这金碧辉煌又雄伟壮丽的主席台上时,泪水情不自禁地一直往外涌。若不是台前那架摄像机正好向她转过来,若果是在她家那面220亩山坡上,在她亲手栽种的5万多棵树的林子里,她非痛痛快快地哭个够不可。
