在十八世纪的法国,曾掀起过一股强劲的“中国风”:中国的文化、哲学、艺术、中国在欧洲人想像中的“开明君主制”等等,都是法国宫廷和主流社会里时髦的谈论话题和积极的摹仿对象。本文作者十多年前赴美留学,十分关注西方如何看待中国艺术和中国艺术对西方艺术的影响这个课题,他曾在世界著名的纽约大都会博物馆作短期研究工作,深入该馆库房探访亚洲部藏品,也曾四访欧洲,探寻欧洲艺术“中国风”的遗迹,在法国巴黎的卢浮宫,品味艺术品上记载的世纪风云。《欧洲大地的“中国风”》一书,就是作者在上述基础上写作而成的。该书以清晰缜密的理论脉络为线索,用生动优美的文笔,将大量“中国风”的图例贯穿起来,再现十八世纪法国艺术里的一个特殊风貌。下面摘选的是该书中的一章。
In the eighteenth century France, there was a strong “Chinese style”: the Chinese culture, philosophy and art, the “enlightened monarchy” that Europeans imagined in Europe, and so on, both in the French court and in the mainstream society Trendy talking topics and active imitation objects. The author of this paper studied in the United States more than a decade ago and is very much concerned about how the West regards the influence of Chinese art and Chinese art on Western art. He has conducted short-term research work in the world famous New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, Collection, also visited Europe for four visits, to explore the European art “Chinese style” relics, in the Louvre in Paris, France, taste art records of the century. “The Chinese style of the Earth in Europe” is written by the author on the basis of the above. The book clues to a clear and rigorous theoretical context, with a vivid and beautiful style of writing, a large number of “Chinese style” illustrations throughout, a reproduction of a special style of the French art of the 18th century.
