Of the 37 patients (37 ears) with sudden sensorineural deafness (sudden deafness) who were reported to be diagnosed and treated, 20 cases were associated with ear and skin sensory disturbances. The audiology and TEP test before and after treatment showed that there was a positive correlation between the sensory disturbance of the affected ear and the degree of hearing loss, and the average incidence of sensory disturbances in the patients with unaccompanied skin sensation The age is small, the first and fourth quarters of the high incidence of premorbid “flu” symptoms and more. It is considered that the sensation of the external ear skin is one of the symptoms of sudden deafness; it may be a polyneuropathy caused by the virus infection. The data in this paper support the theory that the incidence of sudden deafness may be related to the viral infection.
