河南禹县人民在党的领导下,以冲天的干勁,在短短一百天的时間內,治完了913座山头,徹底改变了禹县的自然面貌。现在看来,这样做的好处实在太大了。从生产来說,今年全县夏粮單位面积产量比1957年提高了2.9倍,徹底征服了水旱災害,根本改变了“山区災害三不收,怕風怕旱怕水流”的悲惨局面。这一切,在本期發表的“依靠羣众建設山区”一文里,已經有比较詳尽的介紹。除此以外,为了說明羣众性的大规模治山工作对于攔蓄洪水的巨大作用,同时發表这篇文章。为了避免重复,我們进行了一些删节。
Under the leadership of the party, the people of Yu County, Henan Province, managed to complete 913 hills within a short period of one hundred days under the leadership of the astronomical forces and radically changed the natural appearance of Yu County.
