各位代表、各位同志:这次农民代表大会是咱陕西全省农民自己的第一次会议。过去在历史上从来没有开过这样的会议,在延安虽然曾开过参议会、劳动英雄等不少会议,但那时能够参加的还只是陕北和关中接近老区的一少部份农民的代表,而整个大关中和陕南以及榆林部份地区的农民都没有参加过。这个原因大家都很清楚,就是因为我们这些地区的农民历来是处在被敌人统治、压迫和老区分割的环境下,因而连说话、走路的自由都没有,那里还能谈到开会呢?现在这种情形变了,完全不和过去一样了,我们已将国民党反动统治打垮了,建立了我们自己的政府。因此我们翻了身站起来了,得到自由了。全省各地的农民能自由选派自己的代表到这里来开会,大家欢聚一堂互相自由地交换意见,讨论自己的事情。同志们!像咱们这些穿烂衣裳的农民,特别是曾被人们根本看不起的乡下妇女都能到省城——西安来开会,这是我们的祖辈们都没有想到的一件大喜事,因此我们应该庆贺,特别应该首先向领导我们翻身的人民领袖毛主席和英勇奋斗的人民解放军表示诚恳的感谢和崇高的敬意。 Dear Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen, This Farmers’ Congress is the first meeting of our own peasants in Shaanxi Province. In the past, such conferences have never been held in history. Although there were many meetings in Yanan such as the Senate and working heroes, only a few peasants in northern Shaanxi and Guanzhong close to the old areas were able to attend at that time. , While the entire mark and in southern Shaanxi and Yulin farmers have not participated in some areas. It is clear to all of you because of the reason that the peasants in these areas have always been in an environment ruled by the enemy, oppressed and separated by the old areas. Therefore, there is no freedom to speak and walk. Where can we talk about the meeting now? The situation has changed, completely unlike the past. We have already defeated the Kuomintang’s reactionary rule and established our own government. So we stood up and got our freedom. Peasants across the province were free to choose their own representatives to come here for a meeting, and they all gathered together to exchange views freely and discuss their own affairs. Comrades, like the peasants who wear poor clothes, especially the rural women who have never been looked down upon by people, can come to the provincial capital of Xi’an for a meeting. This is a happy event that our grandparents did not think of. Therefore, we We should celebrate, in particular, our sincere thanks and highest esteem to Chairman Mao, leader of the people who led us, and to the People’s Liberation Army, which has worked diligently.
