韩愈是唐代著名的文学家.他在二十多年的仕途生涯中,有不少时间是从事秘书工作的;曾担任过监察御史、刺史、知制诰、中书舍人,侍郎等职.其中,象知制诰、中书舍人,侍郎等是专门给皇帝或其他行政长官起草公文或辅佐他们处理政务,属于比较典型的高级秘书.在任职期间,他曾写过大量的不同体裁的公文,无论是叙事还是论理,都措词准确、逻辑严谨、富有说服力,有一些还成为我国古代公文写作的典范.
