亨利·詹姆斯是现代心理小说的开创者,在世界文坛享誉盛名。记录欧洲漫游时的所见所闻、书写跨文化背景下的国际主题、表现主人公动荡的精神世界是其小说创作的主要内容。除此之外,亨利·詹姆斯小说中的语言风格也独具特色。本文以语言风格作为切入视角,从模糊多义的叙事语言、复杂艰深的语言风格、精致细腻的语言表达三个方面展开论述,探讨亨利·詹姆斯的语言特色。
Henry James is the founder of modern psychological novels, renowned in the world literary world. It is a major part of his novels to record what he saw and heard during roaming in Europe and write international themes under the cross-cultural background, and to show the turbulent spiritual world of the hero. In addition, the language style in Henry James’ novels is also unique. This article takes the language style as the cut-in point of view, discusses the language features of Henry James from three aspects: the ambiguous narrative language, the complex and difficult language style, the exquisite and delicate language expression.
