自主学习就是学习者把握自己的学习,是以学生为中心的课堂上学习者必须具备的一种能力。本文从自主学习的定义入手,分析了目前学生在大学英语自主学习中存在的一些问题及教师在学生自主学习过程中所应担负的责任,以便教师能够更好地发挥引导者、组织者、解难者的作用,也有利于教师更加积极地介入学生大学英语自主能力的培养过程,使学生成为真正的英语自主学习者,提高其英语学习的效率,从而提高英语自主学习效果。
