Structural adjustment is the main line of the “10th Five-Year” economic work and also a fundamental measure to improve the overall quality of our economy and enhance the stamina of economic development. In 2002, under the more severe domestic and international circumstances, the structural adjustment in our province will also enter a crucial stage. This requires that we must firmly grasp the two major structural reorganizations in our province at present - the organizational structure adjustment and the industrial restructuring . First, we must seize the important point of adjusting the organizational structure, develop a group of large enterprises and foster a group of “small giant” enterprises and their organizational restructuring. With the increasingly fierce competition and the continuous deepening of structural adjustment, the problems of “big but not strong, small but not active” in our province enterprises have become more prominent.
