在八大山人的书画上常常看到一个奇怪的印章(如上图)。历来各大家对此印章各有不同的读法。张大千先生读为“一山人”;吴同先生以为应读“一仙”;王己千先生读为“八大山人” ;也有人根本不读出字来,称之为屐形印;耶鲁大学艺术史教授班宗华(Barnhart)就把展形印翻译成Slipper Seal;最近谢稚柳先生说此印是“口如扁担”。八大山人倒是真有一方印,文是“口如扁担”。但这个印的印文若是要和“口如扁担”结合起来,还需要更多的理由。仅仅是那一横画像扁担的形状,似乎尚有未足。 In Badaling people often see a strange seal (as pictured above). Everyone has always had a different reading of this seal. Mr. Zhang Daqian was read as “a mountain person”; Mr. Wu Tong thought that “one cents” should be read; Mr. Wang Jijian read as “Badashanren”; others did not read the word at all; Barnhart, a professor of art history at the University, translates the exhibition form into a slipper seal; recently, Mr. Xie Zhi Liu said the print was “like a pole.” Bada Shan people really have one side of India, the text is “mouth as pole.” However, if this printed seal is to be combined with “mouth like a pole,” more reasons are needed. It is as if there is not enough for the shape of the horizontal pole.
