虞和平著《商会与中国早期现代化》一书最近由上海人民出版社出版。这是一部以现代化理论研究中国商会问题的学术专著,全书30万字,定价10.50元。它不仅探讨了商会发展的全部历史过程,探讨了商会内部关系,而且也探讨了商会的外部关系,探讨了商会的功能与作用。值得重视的是,该书不仅从社会结构与社会生活的各个层面来考察和剖析商会,而且还把中国商会放在更为广阔的世界范围中来加以观察与对照,令人有耳目一新之感。
