A clear change of the restructured China’s petroleum and petrochemical industry in 1998 is that the principle of yield supremacy is being replaced by the principle of efficiency and the petroleum and petrochemical industry is accelerating the shift to a market economy. This enterprise-oriented positioning deserves a deep-seated reasoning.
