细心的读者会发现,同样一个新闻素材,其他媒体刊登了,但本地的晚报可能没刊登;或者说,同样一个新闻事件,地市晚报和其他媒体却有着很不一样的报道角度。地市晚报和党报一样是当地党委和政府的喉舌,它承载着一个地区的政治经济文化方面的重大政策传播和对本地焦点热点难点社会事件给予正确引导的功能。正是基于这一特殊的属性,决定了地市晚报对在新闻题材的取与舍方面,必须多加一道“道德和责任”的安全阀,具体来讲,就是要努力做到避免以下四大忌。
