铁路本身技术的发展即是向高速化挑战的历史。自1872年日本开通铁路以来已经过去127年,在这期间人们克服各种制约因素而实现了高速化。高速化除提高最高速度以外,还包括提高曲线和道岔通过能力及提高爬坡速度。因此,为了使车辆高速化,需要探讨以下的技术问题;提高牵引和制动性能;确保运行安全和稳定;提高乘坐舒适性;提高受流性能等。另外,节能和环保问题也是实现高速化中的主要内容。 高速化的推进与铁路本身技术的进步密切相关。在高速化过程中酝酿成熟的技术,既要兼顾运输需要和费用,又要及时地在运营车辆上反映出来,这两点正变得日益重要。
The development of the railway itself is the history of the challenge to speeding up.
