《上海文学》的周介人先生曾在多篇文章中谈到对“新市民文学”的推崇,并且在他所领衔的《上海文学)中极力实践之与推广之。而我却对此抱有深深的怀疑。 首先,何为“新市民文学”?其“新”究竟在何处?我想,市民文学永远是市民文学。一百年前的市民与一百年后的市民在生活欲求、生存形态与灵魂追求上,并没有多少本质的不同。他们的欲望,情趣与骚动,永远囿于市井的趣味与物质的范畴。从已发表的所谓“新市民文学”中已可以清晰地看到这一点。如果硬要说有什么新颖之处,那就是因现实时空中物质背景的不同,而造成的 Mr. Zhou Jiren of “Shanghai Literature” talked about praising “New Citizen Literature” in many articles and practiced and promoted it in his “Shanghai Literature”. This has been clearly demonstrated in published so-called “neo-civic literature.” If we insist on what is new, it is caused by the different physical backgrounds in real time and space
