《上海文学》的周介人先生曾在多篇文章中谈到对“新市民文学”的推崇,并且在他所领衔的《上海文学)中极力实践之与推广之。而我却对此抱有深深的怀疑。 首先,何为“新市民文学”?其“新”究竟在何处?我想,市民文学永远是市民文学。一百年前的市民与一百年后的市民在生活欲求、生存形态与灵魂追求上,并没有多少本质的不同。他们的欲望,情趣与骚动,永远囿于市井的趣味与物质的范畴。从已发表的所谓“新市民文学”中已可以清晰地看到这一点。如果硬要说有什么新颖之处,那就是因现实时空中物质背景的不同,而造成的
