北京日报编辑部从一九六五年三月起开展了“为谁办报”的学习讨论,收获很大。这一学习,坚持了学用结合的原则,做到了活学活用毛主席著作,把学习毛泽东思想与改造思想、改进工作密切地结合起来;不少同志吃到了甜头,提高了学习的自觉性。在开展这次学习以前,对于“为谁办报”的问题,编辑部的同志们在口头上是理解的,但在实际执行上还存在许多问题没有解决,长期有“主要为干部还是为群众”的争论,工作中往往忽视工农兵的要求,用知识分子的框框去套工农兵群众。许多稿子工人和农民念不下来,听不懂。与此相联系的“靠谁办报”,在执行“全党办报”路线上也有一些问题。编委会认为“为谁办报”、“靠谁办报”是个根本性的问题,因此,决定在全编辑部开展一次“为谁办报”的学习讨论。 Since March 1965, the editorial department of Beijing Daily has conducted a study and discussion of “Who does the newspaper?” This study has insisted on the principle of combining learning with practice and has done a good job of studying and using Chairman Mao’s works. The editorial board considered that ”for whom to run the newspaper“ and ”rely on who to run the newspaper" was a fundamental issue. Therefore, it was decided to conduct a study discussion for whom to run the newspaper in the entire editorial department.
