习语是语言的精华,它带有浓厚的民族色彩和鲜明的文化内涵,英汉习语作为两种不同的语言瑰宝,由于其独特的文化而表现出明显的差异。本文借助一些典型的例子进行比较与分析探讨了英语习语和汉语习语之间存在的差异。本文讨论了直译、意译、代换法等翻译方法。
Idioms are the essence of language. They have a strong ethnic color and distinct cultural connotations. As two different linguistic gems, English and Chinese idioms show obvious differences due to their unique culture. This article uses some typical examples to compare and analyze the differences between English idioms and Chinese idioms. This article discusses translation methods such as literal translation, free translation and substitution.
