This paper outlines the development of fire retardant coatings, introduces the composition of intumescent fire retardant coatings, and uses advanced instrumentation and analytical methods such as DTA, TG, SEM, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to investigate the flame-retardant mechanism of intumescent fire retardant coatings.
