老年教育是构建学习型社会、提高全民族思想文化素质的有机组成部分,精神文明建设不可或缺的一个方面。老年大学的根本是要通过不断学习,切实加强思想政治教育,积极锤炼老同志的修养,努力提高老同志的觉悟意识,更好地引导和发挥老同志为党的事业增添正能量,充分发挥老年大学在社会主义精神文明建设和构建学习型社会中的积极作用。本着总结经验,巩固成果,促进老年大学持续、健康发展的目的,通过座谈会、个别访谈、问卷调查等多种方式,对中国电科十四所(以下简称十四所)老年大学作了调研。
