日本采用液压顶升式塔机已有十余年时间,最近新制作的塔机几乎都是液压顶升式。可是即使如此,目前一般施工公司仍普遍拥有并使用着相当数量的钢丝绳式自升式塔机,它和液压顶升式塔机相比,存在着顶升作业烦杂,顶升所需时间为液压顶升式的两倍;顶升和拆卸作业具有危险性等各种问题,同时要设置防止因钢丝绳断裂而坠落的装置是困难的。因此有必要将现有钢丝绳式顶升装置改造为液压顶升式,但要进行一次性改造则需要花费巨额投资。
