编辑学学科建设与怎样界定“编辑”概念,当然有着密切的关系。王华良同志《试论界定“编辑”概念的方法论问题》(以下简称《问题》,引文不再作注),开首提出这个问题是很有意义的。但作者把编辑学建设的理论突破,归结为界定编辑概念的方法,而所谓“界定编辑概念的方法论问题”又不过是概念宽泛一些或者狭窄一些的问题。这就使人不能不想到,学术界大量存在的实际情况,并不象《问题》一文所说的那样。许多学科,包括一些相当成熟的学科,在一些基本概念上都存在着广义的定义与狭义的定义,甚至存在着许多内容差异很大的定义。这种情况
