Guangzhou Manchu is the descendants of the Eight Banners of the Manchus of the Manchus, who were stationed in Guangzhou during the reign of the Qing Emperor Qianlong. They are one of the important ethnic minorities in the Pearl River Delta and make an important contribution to the development of the community in Lingnan. This article traces the formation process of the Manchu nationality in Guangzhou and points out that the Qing government sent its Eight Banners in Guangzhou to provide military support for the stabilization of the political situation after the disruption of San Francisco and the establishment of a trade with Guangzhou. Therefore, the troops stationed in Guangdong and Guangxi B’ei Banner have always been closely controlled by the government and preserved a large number of traditional folk customs, which have a significant impact on their future cultural reconstruction.
