Few American physicians are familiar with the clinical manifestations of dengue, except those who worked in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Dengue fever endemic is endemic to all parts of the world, including West Africa, the majority of the Caribbean, several countries of Central and South America, Polynesia, Micronesia and Tropical Asia and South-East Asia.
