每年毕业季,常有英语专业教师抱怨学生论文错误百出,有的甚至影响到读者对论文语意表达的理解。其原因多种多样,学生的语言基本功欠佳是这一现象的原因之一,极少数学生习惯于用汉语先完成,然后翻译成英文,甚至有学生直接使用百度翻译等机器翻译工具进行翻译。本论文基于笔者多年审读学生论文的经验和教学经验,分析了近五届英语专业本科毕业论文中的常见错误,以期对今后的英语教学,尤其是英语论文写作教学有所帮助。
Every year graduation season, English majors often complain that student papers are erroneous, and some even affect readers’ semantic understanding of the thesis. There are a variety of reasons for this. One of the reasons for this phenomenon is that students have poor basic English skills. Very few students are accustomed to completing their studies in Chinese and then translating them into English. Some students even translate directly using machine translation tools such as Baidu Translator. Based on the author ’s experience and teaching experience in reading student dissertations for many years, this thesis analyzes the common mistakes in the recent five undergraduate thesis of English majors, with a view to help future English teaching, especially the writing of English essay.
