加快少数民族地区的经济发展,是巩固边防、维护国家安全的战略性问题,具有重要意义。加快民族地区经济发展有利于增强国家整体实力。只有把少数民族地区丰富的资源充分地开发利用起来,把资源优势转化为经济优势,从而加快少数民族地区经济发展,实现全面建成小康社会,才能增强我国的整体实力。加快民族地区经济发展有利于增强民族凝聚力。民族团结的巩固、民族凝聚力的增强,根本的前提是各民族共同繁荣发展。
Speeding up the economic development in ethnic minority areas is a strategic issue for consolidating border defense and safeguarding national security. It is of great significance. Speeding up the economic development in minority areas is conducive to enhancing the overall strength of the country. Only by fully exploiting and utilizing the abundant resources in the ethnic minority areas and turning the resource advantages into economic advantages so as to speed up the economic development in ethnic minority areas and realize the comprehensive building of a moderately prosperous society can we enhance our overall strength. Speeding up economic development in minority areas is conducive to enhancing national cohesion. The consolidation of national unity and the enhancement of national cohesion are fundamental preconditions for the common prosperity and development of all ethnic groups.
