《海外奇谈》(又名《日本忠臣库》;以下简称《奇谈》)是在不改变原故事情节的前提下,将取材于日本家喻户晓的赤穗复仇事件的净琉璃剧本《假名手本忠臣藏》翻译成汉语的作品,可将其划为汉文小说的范畴。其作品首页右侧标有“清鸿濛陈人重译海外奇谭”字样,因此很长一段时间以来,中日两国都认为这部小说是由中国人创作而成的。但是,仔细阅读文章内容,会发现其中有很多词汇和语句不符合中文表达习惯。近年来的研究表明,此作品是日本人假托中国人之名而创作的日本汉文小说。《奇谈》全文用汉语写成,为便于读者理解,作者在相应汉语的左侧注有日语解释。在日语注释中,存在使用日语音读解释其他汉语词汇的词例,进一步研究此类词例在日语中的受容情况,为构建汉语词汇的域外传播路径提供有益的补充。

For the first time on the right hand side of the work, the words “clear Hong Mongolian translation of overseas strange Tan” have been marked on the right hand side of the page. Therefore, both China and Japan have long considered that this novel was created by the Chinese. However, if you read the article carefully, you will find that many of the words and expressions in it do not conform to the Chinese language. Recent studies show that this work is a Japanese-Chinese novel written by the Japanese in the name of Chinese. The full text of “Qi Tan Tan” is written in Chinese. For the sake of reader’s understanding, the author has a Japanese explanation at the left side of the corresponding Chinese. In Japanese annotations, there are examples of using Japanese phonetic transcription to interpret other Chinese words, and further study on the acceptance of such words in Japanese can provide a useful supplement to construct the extra-terrestrial propagation path of Chinese words.
